Hello everybody! My name is Rue. I am a 9-month-old female Toy Fox Terrier/Chihuahua mix. I weigh approximately 8 pounds. I'm not going to get much bigger so I would make a great travel partner. I'd basically fit anywhere!
I am extremely affectionate and I have a very sweet disposition. There isn't a mean bone in my body. If you let me, I'll climb right up into your lap for attention. Sometimes, it's hard for me to sit still because I get so excited to be around all my human companions. If you are looking for a pup with a zest for life then we'll be the best of friends!
I get along great with everybody I meet - dogs and people alike! You won't find a friendlier dog than me!
I am a pretty well-behaved dog, but I will need some basic leash training as I do tend to walk under the feet of all my human companions. I've never been taught differently so please don't hold it against me. I'm a smart girl so I imagine that I'll learn all kinds of new stuff from you. I promise, we're going to have so much fun getting to know each other!
You're probably curious about where I came from, what my history is, and how I ended up in need of a home. Unfortunately, not a lot is known. I was brought into a local high-kill shelter as a stray. My stay at the shelter wasn't long, but it was more than enough time for me to realize that I never wanted to go back. CageFree heard about me and knew that I deserved better. I was so thankful they rescued me!
I am crate trained and my friends are pretty sure that I am housebroken, too. I've never had an accident in my crate and I go potty outside whenever I go for a walk. I tend to be a bit of a talker, but it's only because I want attention.
I'm playful, silly, and have the best ears in town. I can pretty much turn them in any direction I want. My friends are really hoping that I never grow into them. Aren't I the cutest thing you've ever seen?
I'm such an awesome dog that anyone would be lucky to have me. I've been told that all my human friends are going to miss me dearly once I am adopted. They definitely fawn over me here!
