My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello! My name is Maggie and I am a 7-8 year old Congo African Grey Parrot. I am a little shy and timid and so sometimes, I bite, but my foster Mom is currently working with me on this behavior. But I need someone who is patient and willing to work with me and love me anyway! I have a large vocabulary and I like to express my opinion – I don’t swear though, promise! I also like to make all kinds of sounds and my foster Mom says it sounds like I imitate cockatoos. I do currently pluck a little around my neck, but with time, patience, a relaxed environment, and a better diet, that will probably stop. I am now eating a variety of foods including healthy pellets, fresh vegetables and some fruits, as well as healthy nuts. I am really hoping that someone kind and patient will come along soon to meet me who understands that I am worth the time spent on training and handling. Maybe that will be you?
