Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Magoo is a small lab mixed possibly with Beagle or other hound, estimated to be 6-7 years old. He's a great little guy who must once have been a well-loved dog. Somehow Magoo fell on hard times. He became very thin and suffered hair loss related to flea allergies. But he is enjoying life now in his Dusty Paws foster home, where he likes having his place on the couch and actually enjoys getting a bath.
According to his foster dad, Magoo listens well and will come when called. He is house trained and calm in the home, content to lounge on the couch or his bed and be cuddled. He doesn't bark much, unless he is put outside - he really does want to be an in-house dog. He doesn't bother the birds in his foster home and is friendly with his foster dog sister. He may be okay with cats, but we're not sure.
Magoo does not overeat, but he has a healthy appetite and is gaining back weight. With baths and medication his fur coat is already starting to look better. He will be neutered before adoption.
So, what would be the perfect home for Magoo? One that will let him be a house dog for one. A loving adult home for another, as he seems to prefer adults to children. He would likely be fine with a dog companion. Although he can be frisky as a pup, so far he doesn't play much. He shows no food aggression and shares the water bowl too.
