My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ari is a gorgeous and goofy 9 month old red/rust male Doberman with natural ears and a docked tail. Ari is a tall boy and at around 70 lbs. we are still working on fattening him up some as he came to DAR&E severely underweight. Ari is an extremely sweet dog who wants to do what’s right but needs an occasional reminder like most puppies do! He knows “sit,” “down” and “no” and is currently working on “stay” and “drop-it.” While Ari has learned that jumping on people is inappropriate he is still learning to control his mouthiness and desire to plop his paw on you. Ari is crate trained but will sometimes sing you a tune if he feels as though you’ve been sleeping for too long and are missing out on a beautiful sunny morning. Ari is potty trained and has been perfect in his crate without accidents. Ari is quite the outdoors man as he loves helping with yard work and going for long walks. Ari does well on the leash and loves to help pick up any litter or debris from sidewalks. Ari is a little unsure of strangers and will sometimes growl at the scary people when approaching us on our walks but eventually warms up to new people after smelling them. Ari loves all toys and settles down nicely with a yummy bone. Ari gets along really well with our almost 6 year old Doberwoman and has no problem letting her bully him around in the yard or inside the house. Ari does well in the house but needs supervision when not crated until his puppy appetite for small random objects is curbed. Ari has a habit of barking at our cat and would most likely do best in a cat-less household. Ari is a lovely puppy who will grow into a wonderful adult with plenty of love, discipline and exercise. Due to Ari’s size and puppy tendencies he would be best suited in a household with dog-savvy children and Doberman experience.
