My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Stassi is all Dane, just in a little package! She has all of the funny and wonderful Dane qualities: a paw on your arm when you’re talking to her, an ability to find the most comfortable spot in a room to lay down and a love of people. Stassi just wants to be with her person and will often move so that she is sitting right next to you. She loves it when you talk to her and she will perk her ears and try to get in your lap. She is very smart and mastered ‘sit’ in a few minutes. She is quickly understanding ‘down’ and ‘come.’ She is calm on the leash and in the house and is curious about everything that is going on (especially if it involves food!). She is not destructive or a chewer and does not seem to bark much. While she has been known to climb six foot fences in the past, she doesn’t seem to want to escape now that she has a couch to lay on, yummy kibble to eat and a person to love. She is experiencing a whole new life and has handled the transition very well. She is a lovely dog and just wants a forever person of her own!
Stassi came to rescue with her brother Abel in November and they were previously living outside in a pen. They are about a year and a half old and full of puppy playfulness. They are both expert fence jumpers and will only be placed in a home with a 6 ft wooden privacy fence. She is adjusting wonderfully to being an inside dog and is learning proper indoor manners. She is great with other dogs and children 8+, but she only had limited access to cats. There will be an obedience requirement as part of her adoption to ensure she continues to learn good manners.
Stassi came to MAGDRL in November. (5)

Stassi is adapting well to being in a foster home and becoming an inside dog very well. She is revealing more and more of her personality and she is a lover! (And a goof ball.) She adores meeting new people and has yet to meet anyone she doesn’t want to be friends with. She loves having sit down conversations and listens very attentively, often with a paw on your arm. Stassi really enjoys going on long walks and afterwards will often get zoomies in the back yard playing with her foster sister. She is a great jogging partner and is very good on the leash both walking and jogging. After her exercise, she wants nothing more than to just sit next to you on the couch (preferably resting her head in your lap) to enjoy a good snooze. She is a complete cuddler and it makes her happiest to have some part of her (paw, head, tip of nose) touching you. Stassi is a fun, active dog that would love to have a family of her own to adore.
She seems to have a small animal prey drive (squirrels look delicious)so to be safe we will list her as no to cats.
