My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chloe is a mix breed that was born in the shelter. Her mom was a Lab/Hound mix and medium size. We have no idea who dad was. Chloe has always been the most shy of her litter and she was the last to be adopted. It takes her some time to get comfortable in a home but she does very well with other animals. She loves to go for walks and does very well on a leash. She's just unsure of people and what their intentions are causing her to cower if she doesn't know you. She doesn't submissive urinate or bite, she simply tucks her head and waits to see what will happen. Chloe has been in a foster home and was adopted a month ago. She was returned slightly underweight and we are focused on getting her healthy and happy and she will only be adopted to someone with experience with shy dogs and someone that has another very social dog. She is currently in a new foster home where she will remain until adopted. Dog adoption is 130.00 and includes spay/neuter, heartworm testing, age appropriate vaccines including a 3 year rabies, health exam, deworming, and microchipping. Any animal 6 months or older is considered an adult. No animals are vetted until they are adopted as we do not have a vet on staff. Once the animal is adopted we make a vet appointment, and they must go to be vetted before they can go home with an adopter. Call 985.651.7387 for more information regarding adoption.
