Bandit's Story...
This dog is Bandit - he is 4 years old and heartworm negative. Gorgeous blue eye! "According to previous owner - he liked the neighbor's cat who used to come over onto their deck and he liked kids that would visit or that would come across on walks in the neighborhood.

He has proven to be good with dogs. He pulls on the leash so he does need some leash work. He is a kind hearted dog that has been cooped up with no fenced yard etc. When his owner was admitted to hospital the wife who is elderly and not in good shape could not handle him.

When Kathy went to pick him up she knocked on the door and he barked but when the lady opened the door Bandit was happy to see her even though she was a stranger etc. no growling or concern from him at all!! He really is a sweet boy."

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bandit, a Smithtown Boxer/Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Husky for sale in Smithtown, or seeking a Boxer/Husky dog from a breeder in Smithtown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Smithtown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Smithtown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Husky breeders who help with Boxer/Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Smithtown paves the way for another one to be saved.
