This is a courtesy post for a member of the public: Hey everyone, I have a senior cat that I rescued from being put down (he's not unhealthy, the family just didn't want to "deal" with him anymore), and he really needs a good home. He's an orange tabby, estimated to be 12-13 years old. He's a sweet boy, but he really needs to be in a house where he's the only one, or there's only one other cat. My current household of girls don't like him, and it's honestly pretty crowded already.
Doctor said he looked to be in pretty good health for his age, he just has old man issues (misses the litterbox sometimes, and he gets cranky if he doesn't get canned food at a certain time).
Currently we've been calling him Riley. As I mentioned before, the vet said he estimates between 12-13 years old. He's very loving and he loves to sit on laps and sleep. He would probably do best by himself, or with one other cat. He gets a bit overwhelmed when there are a lot of other cats around. The vet also said he appears to be in good health. The previous owner went into a nursing home and so his son didn't want to deal with the cat and took him to be destroyed (which is how I got him, I couldn't let that happen). About Paws Angeles Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Paws Angeles Animal Rescue rescues, rehabilitates & rehomes animals in the South Bay of Los Angeles, California.

Our goal is to save animals from becoming euthanasia statistics in Los Angeles' high kill shelter system.

With help from fosters, donors, & volunteers, we are able to save animals who have been overlooked in the shelter, or keep them from entering the system altogether. After being vetted & socialized we find them responsible, lifelong homes. If you are interested in fostering, adopting, donating, or volunteering, email

All donations are used directly towards the care of animals in our rescue & towards saving more lives. We can only save as many lives as foster homes & resources that we have available so every little bit helps!

Come Meet Our Pets...

We are a foster based rescue. All of our animal are staying in loving homes while they wait for thier furever families to find them. That means, if you'd like to meet one or more of our adoptable animals, you've got to ask them out on a date! Email to get started.

Our Adoption Process...

All animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, & treated for fleas, prior to being adopted.

Email for an application. Then we will set up a date with the animal(s) you're interested in meeting. From there we can schedule a "trial adoption" for a weekend or a full week to make sure it's a match. Once you've found "The One", we will have you sign an adoption contract basically stating that you'll love & care for them for the rest of their lives, or if for any reason you can't, they'll be returned to Paws Angeles.

Receipts & records for all vet care will be provided at the time of adoption.
