From his personality quirks and overall behavior, we can only assume that he was most likely taken from his Mama a bit too early as he really craves play & attention, mostly on his terms but is making strides with this. He also eats as if it is his first meal in weeks, he still behaves this way even after structured meal times & proper diet. Food is an excellent tool for teaching, he will do most anything for food.
Louie loves people and craves attention. He will actually drool when he is getting love and snuggles!
He seems to be ok with other neutered males cats but is overly interested in females which they may not like. Louie DOES NOT LIKE DOGS! Louie would do best in a home with experienced cat people and no small children. Louie will nip if over stimulated or startled. He however, redirects very quickly without any correction, usually just walking away or putting him down and paying no attention to him for a few minutes resets his mood.
Louie is a morning cat and he routinely will give you love, wants you to rub his belly (which is only usually a morning thing unless he really misses you that day) and wraps his paws around your neck and just purrs & purrs. He has a very loud motor, very therapeutic
His spunky time is 7:30 PM and usually lasts for about an hour or 2…..during this time he likes to fly around like he has wings. He will leap off of tall places literally flying through the air. He also likes to hide around corners and thinks he’s sneaky, he will then bat at you as you come around the corner or he may leap onto your leg for a free ride. He doesn’t really use his claws for this, just enough maybe to hold onto clothing but he never really uses his claws for much, even defense.
He is completely litterbox trained and is pretty good at covering up his mess. Louis would like an uncovered litter box as he likes to balance on the edge on all four paws.
Louie is looking for a patient cat savvy home as he gains trust and blossoms. HIs foster mom thinks he actually would be good at agility as he is very smart, energetic, and agile. So, if you have the time for a very deserving fella like Louie and want a fur-ever friend, this is the guy!
