Chuck's Story...
Meet Chuck. Chuck is a red boxer mix who is 2 years old. Chuck entered the foster program lacking socialization skills, which was most likely brought on from neglect. He lacked the ability to bond with other dogs, depend on humans for comfort, and understand basic dog to dog language.

Since being in foster care, Chuck has made tremendous improvements and it is nearly impossible to identify him as the same dog that he used to be. At this time, Chuck is able to be adopted into any home environment as long as his new owner is willing to give him boundaries, structure, and time to adjust.

Chuck is an energetic boy who LOVES to play fetch! If a ball is not readily available, any object that can be picked up with his mouth will be happily brought to the nearest human. Chuck loves being outdoors and would be a perfect match for someone who wants an active dog.

Chuck is up to date on shots, neutered and micro-chipped. He is also crate trained and house trained.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chuck, a Yuba City Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Yuba City, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Yuba City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Yuba City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Yuba City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Yuba City paves the way for another one to be saved.
