Blaze's Story...
Blaze has been patiently waiting for his turn at a permanent forever home. This pup is very mannerly, calm, playful, and very loyal. We have adopted out three litters of puppies that Blaze has helped socialize. He was truly the 'Big Brother' of every pup. He is fine with the 15 other dogs in our rescue except for the small, jittery types and will not be placed in a home with small dogs. Blaze also is a true water dog who loves swimming in the Gulf, as well as wading in our little kiddie pool. Blaze is very cautious, shy, and timid when meeting strangers. For this reason, he needs to be adopted to someone familiar with this canine trait. He is crate-trained and housebroken. He loves going for long walks or jogs and enjoys riding in the van. There is a $150 adoption fee for this special guy. He has been neutered, micro-chipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and is current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. If you are interested in adopting Blaze, please contact kathi.jackson9@gmail.com to request an application. Meet greets are scheduled only for approved applicants.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Blaze, a Weeki Wachee Labrador Retriever/Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Boxer for sale in Weeki Wachee, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Boxer dog from a breeder in Weeki Wachee.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Weeki Wachee already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Weeki Wachee breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Boxer breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Weeki Wachee paves the way for another one to be saved.
