I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Midge is a 4 year old Pomeranian with a personality that draws everyone in. Midge was born with back legs that don't straighten out, making her appear to sit cross-legged permanently. Even though Midge is "different," she treats everyone the same. Midge will run over to you, in her own special way. just to give you itty bitty Pomeranian kisses and chat. Though Midge is considered special needs due to her physical limitations, you will NEVER regret adding her to your home. Midge is a tiny clown of a dog who loves to engage you. She also loves other animals, and will wrestle and play with even dogs who are ten times her size. Midge would love another animal in the home to share her time with, without a playmate she is quite lazy. She needs a family who will always help push her to become physically stronger - when she came to us, she was unable to put any weight on her back legs, and now she can support almost her full weight on her right back leg (the left is still a work in progress!). Midge cannot do stairs, but she is tiny and loves to be picked up, so a home with stairs should not be an issue as long as the family knows to gate them off so she does not fall down them by mistake. Don't let Midge catch you feeling sorry for her and carrying her everywhere - this spunky pup loves to run and play, and wants to impress you every single day for the rest of her life by continually growing stronger.

All of our dogs come spayed or neutered, fully up to date on vaccinations, including rabies (if age appropriate) and bordetella, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.

For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. You will receive an automated confirmation once your application is successfully submitted. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the dog you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call ASAP.

We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where dogs can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting a dog in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Thanks so much for caring about a needy animal!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Midge WAIVED FEE/BLACK FRIDAY, a Cincinnati Pomeranian dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pomeranian for sale in Cincinnati, or seeking a Pomeranian dog from a breeder in Cincinnati.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pomeranian breeders who help with Pomeranian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
