Just look at this beautiful boy’s striking sapphire blue eyes! And his handsome face; it’s definitely the face of a smart and sometimes mischievous young male cat. He is a teenage boy and one of his favorite things to do is to go for a walk on his leash.
He is loving and sweet as is so very typical of the Siamese breed. Having a senior Siamese boy myself, I can attest that they are one of the most awesome, loyal, people friendly, and super smart cats, and one look in their precious faces and your heart just melts.
Teeko was adopted through our Purebreds Plus organization. Unfortunately. his current owners have encountered health issues as well as some mismatched kitty dynamics in their home and have asked us to help find him a new home. This smart boy has even figured out how to sneak out of their house. He runs over to a neighbor’s garden where he taunts the resident cats, which is causing issues with the neighbors and thus stress for all concerned. He would benefit from an outside escape proof backyard or a catio.
Here is what his current owners want his new parents to know about this magnificent boy:
Teeko likes to drink water out of the sink or sneak a drink out of your glass of water when you aren’t watching. Sometimes, he drinks by dipping his paw into the water and then licking his paw which I think is really cute. He loves soft stuffed balls and toys that he can carry in his mouth and toss into the air. We play a game with him where we hide a long stretchy piece of fabric that looks like a snake (it is actually an eye glasses holder for water sports). Sometime during the night, he finds the snake and brings in up on our bed.
He likes both men and women and knows how to stick around to watch a child play but stay out of tail grabbing distance. He particularly likes kneading and cuddling with someone wearing a furry bathrobe. He calms down by cuddling with me and trying to lick me at which time he will purr like crazy. Another thing that calms him is my husband patting either side of his back. He will just stand there to be patted like that and walk around pushing on my husband’s legs to get him to pat him. In his own time, he does respond to his name being called.
He likes crunchy treats and will stand up and grab the hand of the person giving the treat between his front paws to steady the treat so he can eat it. He is very clever and can open screen doors without a problem. He has also opened inside doors with handles and pulled out the pet door cover when it wasn’t completely locked in. He doesn’t mind a harness and a leash and probably could be trained to walk on the leash. I usually just follow him around but if someone wanted to, they could probably train him to walk with them.
He does like to have cat greens available, and his stomach is sensitive, so if you try to change foods too fast on him, he will get diarrhea. He knows about what time my husband gets home from work and will usually start meowing and sit by the front door. He is good about using a cat tree to scratch on and likes to sleep either on our bed or in the cat tree circle. He doesn’t seem to like soft cat beds and thinks they are litter boxes.
Teeko eats wet food supplemented with dry food.
