Bridget's Story...
"Bridget" is an adorable adult female Miniature Schnauzer who came to the HSOV on November 19, 2015 along with a tiny Dachshund (Gretchen) who is her best friend in the world. "Bridget" has a gray/silver/white (salt-and-pepper) coat, a docked tail, and a classic Schnauzer face with scruffy whiskers and extra-large natural un-cropped ears. This little beauty has a lovable, affectionate personality. She wasn't too happy with our Humane Officer during her bath and mini-grooming session, but she quickly made up afterwards :) "Bridget" walks fairly well on a leash but also enjoyed being carried out in the arms of our photographer to have her glamour pictures taken. "Bridget" weighs 16 lbs. She and "Gretchen" are sharing a kennel so that they may provide comfort and security for each other.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bridget, a Marietta Miniature Schnauzer/Schnauzer (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature Schnauzer/Schnauzer (Miniature) for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Miniature Schnauzer/Schnauzer (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature Schnauzer/Schnauzer (Miniature) breeders who help with Miniature Schnauzer/Schnauzer (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
