This is Josie! She is lab-pit mix, about two years old (Feb '16) and weighing in at 50 pounds. She is a sweet girl but needs some time to warm up to new situations. She is great with more passive dogs that are smaller than her. She thinks cats are toys so she’ll need to be in a cat free home. She has some muscle on her so homes with older kids would be ideal.
Josie is house trained, crate trained and leash trained! She is fully vetted and spayed!
She has a teddy bear personality and is very affectionate. She knows the basic commands (sit, down, come, shake, etc…) and is a quick learner!
She is going to make a great addition to her furever home.
If you feel your home might be the that lucky place, the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt. Once submitted, the foster will contact you to tell you more, and to arrange a meeting! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter.
Josie is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so custody and ongoing care are provided by the foster, not by DFWRM.

NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter! Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply.
