Charlie is a happy, 9 year old, 15 pound male Shih Tzu. He came to our rescue when his previous owner could no longer care for him. Charlie loves to go on walks and does very well walking on a leash. He is has wonderful house manners, is house trained, and does great with “Come, Sit and Stay” commands. Charlie loves to cuddle and also loves to sit next to you or on the back of a sofa looking out the window. He enjoys car rides and also is very playful. He likes to sleep on the bed with you so we are hoping that his adoptive family will let him sleep with them. Charlie would do well in a home with older, respectful children and would also enjoy the company of other small dogs. He is just a fun, playful, devoted little guy and would be a perfect companion for someone who will enjoy his company.
Charlie does have a luxating patella (a kneecap that occasionally slips out but then back in), and he has medication to be given only when needed. He is an otherwise healthy boy, is neutered, current on vaccinations, microchipped and on heartworm and flea/tick preventative. His adoption fee is $120.00 plus $8.73 sales tax for a total of $128.73. His foster parents would like his adopters to live within a reasonable driving distance of the Twin Cities and also encourage them to attend the annual Shih Tzu Rescue Reunion held in September every year.
