Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Don Diego de la Vega, but you can call me ZORRO! I promise that I will zealously leave my mark on your heart and you will fall in love with me a zillion times over! I mean, really, who can resist my dashingly black-clad handsome looks and stunning eyebrows that enhance my mysterious eyes? Well, my first owners certainly could. They dropped me off at a high kill shelter in Southern Indiana when I couldn't keep my paws off the family chickens. Now that I am living in suburban Illinois, I am hoping to find a new family that will overlook my vice for feathered fowl. I really am a delightful boy. I am a Husky/ Shepherd mix that is just about a year old. From the size of my paws, my foster family thinks that I may still have some growing to do! I have a slender build weighing in at 55 pounds. I am all legs and tall enough to scope out any goodies on the kitchen counters. I get teased that I am like a lanky teenager. Sometimes, I am awkward and stumble over my own two front feet, but when I run, I prance. I would love to have an active furever family. I do enjoy exercise and a fence yard to play in is a must. I would love to have a playmate to keep me company. A human one would be awesome, but I may be a little big for the very young. I would really hate to knock over a little one. A canine companion would also be great. I get along great with the two other male dogs in my foster home. We run and play and keep each other entertained, but I do need to be fed separately. I don't like to share my kibble. I have learned where the toy basket is and I have a passion for stuffed animals. I am working really hard on my housebreaking skills. I have had a couple of urine accidents since becoming a foster, but now that I am on a timely schedule, I am sure to catch on very quickly. I crate very easily and like to have my own personal domain. I am very quiet while crated. I can be vocal at other times though. I will talk to you and expect you to comply to my wishes. I am a little weary of new things, but I am becoming more confident daily. I would love to have a family that will patiently work with me and give me all the love I deserve! I do enjoy love and attention, but I am not over the top needy by any means. If you are more hero and would like to add a Z to your family, please call Darla at 630-406-9405 and ask about me, ZORRO! The adoption fee for ZORRO is $200 and includes my up-to-date vetting, previous neuter and microchip.
