Facts about Jet

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Black (All)
  • Age: Senior
  • Sex: Male
  • Hair: Short
DOB October 28, 2008.

Jet is a sweet, affectionate ca. He loves to sit on your lap and will happily sleep with your on the bed. on the bed with me. He enjoys playing with toys and sitting in the window looking out.

Jet likes to have a secure “hiding” place that he can run to if he is feeling like some alone time (he can be timid at times). He doesn't really try to hide, and can be coaxed out with strokes. He may take a few days to settle in to his new home, but your patience will be rewarded by his loving, gentle ways. Adopt this handsome gentleman today!!

Thank you for welcoming a senior cat into your family - an adoption fee of your choice appreciated, vs. our standard adoption fee of $175.

Toronto Cat Rescue is a registered, no-kill charity run by volunteers.

Our vision is for Toronto to be a city in which no adoptable cat is killed and rescue organizations such as Toronto Cat Rescue are no longer needed.

Our registered charity number: 889-198-727-RR-0001

Our Adoption Process...

Decided on the cat or kitten you would like to adopt? Please call 416-538-8592, or email

An adoption counsellor will return your call and give you more details about the cat you are interested in and ask some questions about your home to make sure the cat will be a "purr-fect" fit. We are happy to answer any questions you may have as well.

You will be supplied with the foster home address to have a meet and greet with your kitty. If both parties are happy, you can sign the TCR Contract of Adoption, pay the adoption fee and take your cat home with you in a safe carrying case.

Adoption fee is $175 per cat. This ensures that the cats that come into our care receive the attention they need, are spayed or neutered, and receive a rabies vaccination at the appropriate age. It includes 6 weeks of free pet insurance. For City of Toronto residents, the adoption fee includes a mandatory City of Toronto cat license that is valid for one year. As you can imagine, these fees only begin to cover our costs; donations and ongoing fundraising efforts carry us the rest of the way!

1. ALL senior cats (8 years or older) have an adoption fee of the adopters choice, vs. our standard adoption fee of $175.
