MISS SQUEAKY P (named because of her adorable squeak) is a gorgeous medium-haired tortoiseshell kitty with a cute white chin. She is about 6 to 7 years old. When she was rescued and came to her foster home, she was malnourished and suffering from flea dermatitis. After receiving veterinary care and several months of TLC, everything has turned around for her. She has blossomed into a very lovely and sweet girl, and while her skin may always need a little attention (we occasionally give her a few days of oral steroids), she now has a beautiful coat instead of the patchy and scabby skin she came in with! She is an adorable and affectionate companion, and is also very playful. Miss Squeaky P has lots of love to give and is very pleasant to hang out with, never needing too much attention, but she happily accepts it when given. She likes being brushed, adores catnip, her Neko Fly and the red laser light, and will also curl up on your lap and sleep with you at night. She gets along with other easy-going cats after a period of introduction, and she might do okay with a friendly dog -- but she would dearly love to be the only pet. Miss Squeaky P is part of our Bring Joy to Your World Adoption Promotion with Best Friends Animal Society and her adoption fee is just $25 for the month of December. She has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed - plus you get a free vet visit. She is currently living in a loving foster home where she can be easily visited. For more info, call Beth at (541) 255-9296

About West Coast Dog and Cat Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Our mission is to provide care and find loving homes for companion animals of our community, with a focus on those with special needs. Currently we only work with Cats. We offer temporary housing in foster homes until they can be placed through our adoption process. We have adoption centers within both Petsmarts in Eugene, at Chad Drive, near Costco, and 29th and Willamette; PetCo by Valley River Center and Wags Emporium on Coburg Rd. WCDC works with humane societies, other animal rescue groups, the public and government animal services agencies to offer them relief from their overpopulation problem. All cats in our custody receive the medical care they need. WCDC is a non-profit organization. All money raised is used to help WCDC save as many animal lives as possible.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our cats can be seen at Petsmart on Chad Drive and on Willamette St, at Petco near Valley River Center and Wags Emporium on Coburg Rd, seven days a week during normal business hours. We do have adoption counselors available on weekends or by appointment or from 11-4pm Sat.-Sun.

Our Adoption Process...

All potential adopters are required to complete our application and contract. Our contract stipulates the requirements for care of our pets. These documents are available through e-mail or at our adoption events. The documents are reviewed by our staff and together with a face to face interview we explore the potential new home. If all parties agree to the specifics of the contract the dog or cat can go home. Adoption fee varies with age of pet.
All pets are current on vaccinations, health checked by our veterinarian, De-wormed, treated with flea medication, spayed or neutered, and cats are felv/fiv tested.
