My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Princess is looking for a special patient home. She lived with the same person for most of her life and when she was moved to a new home she took a long time to transition completely. She was very stressed in her new environment and would hiss and swat at the humans and other animals for the first 6 weeks or so. Once she gets settled in a new stable home and routine she is a very nice girl who craves attention and always wants to be with her people. She is a beautiful tabby girl whose stripes turn to spots over most of her body. She has scar tissue over one eye. She is doing great with lots of dogs and cats in her current foster home but would probably transition easier into a quiet home with just a few or no other pets. Princess is a very nice girl who is just a little insecure about new situations and would love to find someone willing to work with her a little to make her feel safe and loved again.

Update: Princess changed foster homes recently and adjusted well to her new surroundings. She gets along great with the new foster's dogs but is still not on friendly terms with her cat after about 6 weeks. Princess is super snuggly and soaks up affection from her people once she decides she trusts them. She does like to use her claws however. Princess has benefited a great deal from soft caps- blunt claw covers available at most pet stores. We would highly recommend she continue using these as they have greatly improved her interactions with new people.

All kitties go to their new owners spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. Princess is negative for FIV/FeLV. The adoption fee is $100. If you are interested in adoption or have any questions, please contact info@rchsks.org
