Looking for an all-around nice girl? You won't go wrong with Shelby. She's a 3 year old Pointer/Hound mix that has had a rough life up until now. Shelby was taken to the Geauga County Kennel when pregnant because her owners were being abusive trying to get her to abort her puppies. Shelby was immediately placed in a loving foster home to have her puppies. Despite all she's been through she is very gentle and sweet and was an excellent mother. Puppies and mom were then brought to Friendship to find loving homes. This active girl is always ready to greet you and is finally starting to play with toys. Because she is part Pointer her foster recommends no small animals due to her prey instinct. Shelby loves Italian sausage but will not eat anything when she is nervous. She would do best in a steady environment with not a lot of commotion and change. Shelby is ready and waiting for her forever home.

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.

All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are wormed, heartworm tested and spayed or neutered. Dogs 3 months and older are micro-chipped.
