Meet Zeus! He is approximately 10 months old and about 45 pounds. Zeus is a very sweet fellow who is initially very shy around new people. Give him time to adjust...and you'll have a playful and very affectionate fellow on your hands! Zeus LOVES toys of all kinds and really enjoys running around with his doggie buddies! Zeus is fearful of a leash and is working on this in his foster home. In the meantime, any adopters will need to have a fenced yard. Zeus is perfectly house trained, kennel trained, knows basic obedience and is an all-around adorable fellow!
The ideal home for Zeus would be an adults only home, or a home with older children, a fenced in yard and a toy box the size of Texas! He would do great with another dog, but would be happy to be your one and only as well. He has had limited experience with cats in his new foster home, but so far is doing very well!
Our adoption process works a bit different than other shelters and rescues! Paddy's Paws serves as a coordinator for Houston rescues. We send out the applications, arrange home visits and secure back up fosters for each of the dogs that will be transported here. Like most foster-based organizations, we do not have a facility and set up all appointments on an individual basis. Prior to any meet and greets, we require an approved application so we will need to go through all the steps before having you meet any of the available dogs here in Wisconsin.

We start with the completed application and then check references/vet records. The next step is a homevisit with family and one of our representatives. Once we have gathered all this information, we provide it to the Houston team. Then, we can set up a meet and greet with available dogs.
