Tilly is an amazing little girl, and is she ever smart! She is the typical baby and loves to snuggle and play with her playmates or toys. But Tilly has a condition called MegaEsophagus where the tube from her mouth to her tummy is enlarged causing a condition that prevents food from being pushed down the tube naturally. So gravity needs to help, and therefore she has to eat in an upright position and be kept in an upright position for about 25 minutes after eating. There is a chair that keeps dogs with this condition upright, but right now the foster just feeds her and holds her in her arms until she can be put down. This condition is not life threatening and is not thought to be something that would shorten her life span. PLEASE DO RESEARCH ON THIS CONDITION AND TALK TO YOUR VET IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING TILLY. She is doggie-door trained.
The suggested donation amount for Tilly is $350, which is TAX DEDUCTIBLE, and goes toward providing supportive services to animals in the home, as well as the high cost of vetting our dogs in rescue.
