Here's what the humans have to say about me:
FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID
TJ is a 6 month old (ish) Wheaton Terrier mix (best guess) who is a hole lotta puppy! Give this little guy an inch and he will take a mile! He is a little pot-stirrer just like the kid in the back seat of the car picking on his brother until he finally gets a reaction then just grins at you. Whether it is more than his share of the pillow, your whole lap or who gets to walk closer to you on your evening walks, he is just convinced he is going to be left out of the action and he doesn’t like it one bit.
That is not to say that he isn’t adorable, funny inquisitive, trainable and playful. He is all of those things and more; he is just a baby who needs a family who will help him grow into one amazing adult. He will delight most any patient family with his antics.
T.J is really good with other dogs and takes corrections from them well when he is playing too rough with them. He is also cat friendly – but remember he is a puppy and will most likely think he can play with the cat also.
While he is awesome with people and has never met a stranger he didn’t like no matter what age; however we require a home with kids 6 and up. T.J. is still a puppy and can be a bit mouthy when overly excited; young kids do not understand that he isn’t trying to hurt them despite the fact that he might on accident. He will need an active family who can and will make him a part of their daily lives. He is a high energy boy who needs to get out and walk/run daily.
T.J. is dog door trained and house trained for the most part; he does still have a potty accident once in a while. He is also crate trained though he doesn’t like it and will make sure you know that by the plaintive cries he emits for the first few minutes before bed. He does still chew on things in the yard and brings them in to show you, ie , all of his foster moms spring bulbs…but hasn’t chewed on anything in the house. Tons of toys in the house though and he loves them all.
The great thing is that T.J. is a people pleaser and will do most anything for your attention and affection. His new family will need to commit to puppy classes and on-going training to make him a happy boy as he grows.
T.J. is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations and microchipped.
If you can offer him a loving forever home, please fill out an application with Fuzzy Pawz Rescue: http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ he would LOVE to meet you!
