Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rizzo is the best of everything. Ridiculously cute, incredibly loving, an all-star snuggler and a friend to everyone he meets. We were introduced to this fantastic boy at a high kill shelter when he came in as a stray. Based on the scar on his forehead, a couple other scrapes on his body and evidence of a previously broken jaw, our vet guesses that Rizzo was likely running the streets for some time and got into a tussle with a car or two along the way. Luckily, no extensive medical treatment was needed (though his tongue does hang out a lot of the time, which is pretty awesome) and we had just the Foster Mom to get him all fixed up. After almost a month of TLC, Rizzo is rested and fully healed, though we have determined that he has a luxating patella, which occasionally causes stiffness in one of his back legs. Per our vet, no treatment is needed at this time and we are just keeping a close eye on things. In true Pug style, our 5 year old, 17lb. boy is quite the cuddle bug and wants to be close to people whenever possible. In fact, his overall calm approach to life and his affinity for snuggle sessions makes his foster mom think he would be great in almost any home. Sure, he loves his toys, especially the ones with the water bottles inside, but his favorite thing is snuggling with humans -- his family, visitors, new friends...Rizzo is happy to curl up with everyone. Rizzo gets along with other pups, large and small, and is perfectly happy to share his space with cats. He is also kid tested and approved and has been incredibly gentle with the little ones he has met. Given his life on the streets, Rizzo is still getting the hang of potty training but is making great strides and will only continue to improve now that he is neutered. Rizzo is crate trained but would, of course, prefer to sleep in your bed at night. He is up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped.
