My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Do you want to be truly inspired on a daily basis? Meet our beautiful Mya who despite being born blind and then dumped at a high kill shelter, continues to have an incredible zest for life and a genuine love for people. You may remember when Mya came into rescue, at five months old, with her sister Coco. At the time, we believed that the girls were bonded so we adopted them into a fantastic home together. After only a couple weeks, it was clear that Mya and Coco were actually perfectly happy spending one on one time with their family, taking separate walks and going on individual adventures. In fact, they seemed to flourish more independently so when Mya and one of the other resident dogs began having a difficult time living together, we decided that it would be best to separate Mya and Coco and bring Mya back into rescue. We are thrilled to have her! She has a prance to her step and will bounce around, following your voice until she finds you and once she does, she can't get enough snuggles, hugs, and kisses. Mya adores human touch and is genuinely content just to be around her people. While she has successfully lived with other dogs, (including her current foster brother, Tommy) and has done well with meeting them in public, we think she would thrive as the only dog in the home. Mya is now approximately two years old and 45 pounds, crate trained, housebroken when kept on a schedule, and has done well with children and cats. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and ready to find her snuggle buddy.
