Ruffles's Story...
Ruffles and Truffles came out of the same home and although they have different parents, were both born in December 2014 and have been raised together. They are both super sweet and affectionate and starving for love! Ruffles seems to be house/crate trained or very close and Truffles not far behind her. Both will need a little work while they get accustomed to their new schedule.. Ruffles is a mini doxie and weighs 12 lbs. She has been spayed and fully vaccinated. She is also HW tested negative and are microchipped. Ruffles is super happy all the time and loves to be loved on. Although we would really like to keep these two together, we would consider adopting them out separately to the right home. Ruffles is the most attached but would be fine in time as an only dog or better yet with a canine sibling. These two would add so much love to the right home and family! If you would like to make Ruffles or the pair your new family members please contact lorainecm@comcast.net or omlc7@hotmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ruffles, a Hagerstown Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Hagerstown, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Hagerstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hagerstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hagerstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hagerstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
