Shortcake is a female Shih Tzu mix approximately 2 years in age. She has been professionally groomed and currently has a very short haircut due to severe tangles and matting upon rescue. Shortcake has a gorgeous, soft tricolor non-shedding coat. She is ivory with tan and gray. When her coat grows back in it will be absolutely gorgeous, long, and multicolored. Shortcake currently weighs 12 pounds and her ideal weight should be right around 15 pounds. She is a little bit skinny at the moment from being stray. Her tail curls up adorably over her back and she has the longest, most feminine chocolate brown eyelashes that we have ever seen. In terms of personality, Shortcake can't be beat. She is gentle, tender, sweet, and super friendly. When you hold her in your arms she will rest her head on your shoulder and gaze up into your face adoringly. Shortcake also has a playful side and can romp around and be silly with the best of them. She is a true lover of toys and has a fondness for the smaller sized tennis balls. She can frequently be found prancing around with one, or else just sitting there staring at you holding a ball in her mouth. It is funny and very cute. Shortcake is good with children and wonderful with other dogs. She is quiet and we have yet to hear a peep out of her. In the house, she is a very easy keeper and blends in perfectly with the household. She welcomes company that you might have over and is very well behaved in public. Shortcake will most likely stick close to your side when out and about for comfort and safety. She rides quietly in the car without a fuss. She is so incredibly cute and sweet we almost can't stand it! This is a wonderful gem of a dog and guaranteed to make a lasting impression on your heart. Shortcake was rescued from a very high-volume/high-kill shelter where she was brought in stray. She is healthy and ready for her new forever home today!
Shortcake’s adoption donation is $425 (*TAX DEDUCTABLE). She has been SPAYED, MICROCHIPPED, VACCINATED, DEWORMED, DEFLEAED and PROFESSIONALLY GROOMED. Also included is her collar with ID, harness, leash, folder with all of her records, a great PETCO coupon book, and a fun goodie bag with toys, etc.
Shortcake is being fostered by Pet Match Rescue Foster Volunteers, Pam and Allen and is ready for her forever home.
