Winnie's Story...
Haven't you heard? Teeth are out and underbites are in! My name is Winnie and I'm a sassy 10 year old shi tzu with an underbite that doesn't quit. I was found in rough shape wandering the streets of Muskegon which is why I don't have any teeth anymore. Don't think that holds me back for a second! I love to play with my human foster brother and get along great with other cats and dogs. My favorite thing is to be warm and cozy and go for walks while wearing my stylish new coat to stay nice and toasty. I'm even up to date on my vaccines, spayed, and heartworm free. My adoption fee is just $200. If you're looking for a top-notch snuggle buddy, I'm your girl. Email and ask for an app for Winnie. Thanks!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Winnie, a Grand Rapids Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Grand Rapids, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Grand Rapids.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grand Rapids already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grand Rapids breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grand Rapids paves the way for another one to be saved.
