Gypsy's Story...
Gypsy is a beautiful girl who is looking for a calm home to help her learn people are awesome. She didn't get a whole lot of attention before coming to the shelter, in fact she was skin and bones when she first came in and is very lucky to have made her way here! Because of this she can sometimes freeze or run away from people, she is NOT feral, she is just shy. If you sit down with her for a couple of minutes you can get her purr box going. Gypsy is not doing well in the shelter environment and would greatly benefit from a foster family to get her out of here for a while, or a forever adoptive family. We would even be willing to send her home on a month trial period. As long as a family was willing to put some effort into helping her adjust she would likely be able to handle calm dogs or calm children.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gypsy, a Fredericksburg Domestic Mediumhair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Fredericksburg, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair kitten from a breeder in Fredericksburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fredericksburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fredericksburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fredericksburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
