My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

In a world of speed dating and catfishing, Theo prefers to take it slow and keep things honest. Theo is charmingly bashful at first meeting. Please be patient. He has good reason to be skeptical of human intentions but he wants desperately to be loved. It may take a while to get him under the covers but Theo is worth the wait. His foster mom reports that despite his history, Theo hasn't a mean bone in his pudgy little 20 lb. body. He likes to curl up near her on the sofa and burrows under the blankets at bedtime. Always the gentleman, Theo is housebroken in his foster home. Theo gets along well with other dogs and would benefit from having a doggy companion to show him the ropes in his forever home. Theo came to OAR from a very neglectful backyard breeding situation. He has some loss of vision as a result of ulcers that were left untreated prior to his rescue but he gets around well. Theo is hesitant on a leash so a fenced yard would be helpful. Theo is a gentle, young dog but he carries the weight of the world on his furry little shoulders. He needs a patient, compassionate adopter to build his confidence and release his inner puppy! Come meet Theo!
