Romeo's Story...
Romeo is an absolutely stunning german shepherd male estimated around 3 years of age. Romeo was a stray in the Louisville Metro area which leaves us lacking any prior history on his life up until this point.

Romeo has shown himself to be an extremely friendly boy with all of the people he has met so far. He doesn't show any fear of new people and is overall pretty friendly. He has been very playful with the dogs he has met so far and has a very puppy-like mannerism about him. He doesn't seem to know exactly how to play with the other dogs but is certainly trying to figure things out.

Romeo seems to be an overall great dog who will make a wonderful companion with some guidance. He is a very big boy and pretty energetic so he will require an active home to give him the exercise he needs. Romeo is searching for a loving home to call his own.

If you have any questions about Romeo, or would like an adoption application, please email us at Tierhavenrescue@aol.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Romeo, a Louisville German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Louisville, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Louisville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Louisville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Louisville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Louisville paves the way for another one to be saved.
