Rocky was a dog that was kept outside all the time....he never got to go indoors, take walks, or leave his yard. When he escaped one day and was hit by a car, his family did not have the means to get him to a vet. Another rescue stepped in and paid for his surgery, and then fully vetted him! After all that the family decided to surrender him, and now he is patiently waiting his REAL furever home. He is estimated to be around 4-5 years old, and currently weighs about 50 lbs. He is a shy boy that is finally learning what being part of a family is. He is crate and house trained, is fine with cats, loves other dogs, and is good with children. Rocky will do best in a home where he has at least one other pup to be with.  He has been through some basic obedience training, walks well on leash, and is well behaved. He loves to snuggle and be with his humans.

Our Adoption Process...

Applications are screened and references checked for both veterinarian and renters. Phone interview is conducted and if a potential match we will arrange a playdate. To move forward with a potential placement we require a home visit and introduce existing pets to the new pet. If successful a 72-hour home trial is mandatory. To give the applicant possession of the pet the applicant must fill out the Adoption Contract and pay the adoption fee. The contract and adoption fee is held for the 72-hour trial period. If placement is desired at the end of the trial period the organization signs and executes the contract. A copy of the contract along with medical records will then be forwarded to the adopter. 1 week, 1 month, 3 month, and 6 month follow-ups are conducted.
