Eric's Story...
Meet Eric! We're guessing he's around 2 years old, and is a cattle dog mix. Eric was found as a stray and brought to the shelter. We're not sure what happened to his owners. He's a very friendly boy, and loves to play. Prior to being adopted Eric will be up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and will have a microchip. Now all he needs is someone to love him and take him home. Could that someone be YOU??

Are you looking for a new best friend? So is Eric!! The shelter is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1-5, Tuesday and Thursday from 1-8, and Saturday from 10-2. Come visit!!

You can see some of our adoptable pets almost every Saturday at the Petsmart in Greensburg from noon to 6pm and some Sundays too. All adoption fees include spay/neuter and up-to-date vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Eric, a Youngwood Australian Cattle Dog/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog/Labrador Retriever for sale in Youngwood, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Youngwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Youngwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Youngwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Youngwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
