Burt's Story...
Meet the bright and bubbly Burt, a 7 month old orange tiger that is hoping for a fabulous home of his own. Burt came to us when this tiny guy was found as a stray. Our animal control officer fostered him until he was big and healthy enough to be on his own, now he is thriving and loving life! Burt is an outgoing and friendly little guy that is always ready to make new friends. He will run right up to you to greet you, then go darting off under a table in search of a toy or treat. He is such a happy kitten that just loves everyone. He gets along great with other cats but always assumes that he's the boss. He is never aggressive with other cats, but just likes to think that he's the one that runs the show. Burt is very sweet, mushy and affectionate when he gets to know you and he would fit in perfectly with any loving family that can give him the happy, safe home that he's hoping for. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Burt, a Forked River Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
