Jozi's Story...
This is one sweet little bundle of love! Weighing in at a mere 8.25 lbs Jozi is lots of fun with a wagging, happy tail and a big smile that sports a cute overbite. She loves to be held and snuggled with. It is estimated that she is 1.5 years old. Jozi is a perfect little companion dog. Due to her tiny size she can not be placed in a home with children under the age of 8 years old. She is active, but not hyper, she is cute as button and she melts in your arms. She loves belly rubs. Naturally she thinks she's just as big as the rest of the dogs out there and has absolutely no fear of anything or anyone. She comes right up to you, wanting to be held and petted. One of our fosters found her on Highway 281 -- it's hard to believe that she survived the traffic! But she did. She was never claimed by an owner. She is spayed, received current on vaccines, microchipped, and her heartworm test is negative.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jozi, a New Braunfels Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in New Braunfels, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in New Braunfels.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New Braunfels already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Braunfels breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Braunfels paves the way for another one to be saved.
