Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet fantastic Miss Nova! Nova is just the cutest and sweetest one year old mix of husky energy and shepherd smarts! She is super fun and on the small side at 40lbs- she is the best of both her breeds. Nova was rescued from the streets of Dalton, in high kill Georgia. We got a call from one of our vets who was boarding her until help arrived. They knew we’d love this awesome blue-eyed beauty – and that we do! The folks at our vet office had her long enough to evaluate her and teach her some new tricks, and great student and a super-fast learner. Nova did test a “light positive” for heartworms, so she has started her treatment and will need her adopters to continue on with her medication for two months, meds provided by us. Since we rescue dogs from the south, we have treated many heartworm dogs- all of which with complete recovery. Nova is awesome on her leash, loves her twice daily long walks and playtime with her foster sibs. She gets along VERY well with others, is playful and respectful and a pleasant amount of energy for all my pack, that includes seniors and little dogs too. She’s a lanky but solid girl, and could stand to gain a few pounds! She loves to “hugs” and dance for treats! Nova is super affectionate, and a real bundle of fun. She loves her daily walks and short runs. Nova is looking forward to trips to the dog park and the beach or wherever you go! Nora loves the outdoors and any kind of weather- she’s not bothered by the rain or cold and is a minimal shedder too. Nova loves her toys and just hanging out with you. Nova is crate trained and is awesome in her crate and ignores the cats on our walks, so slow introduction, as always. Nova knows her basic commands- sit, down, off, come and more. She is an excellent car rider and house trained too. She is calm and good in the house. She can be trusted in the house, is not a chewer and will be calm and quiet when you give her “place” command. Though she’s had basic training, Nova would love it if you would take her to an obedience training class so you can all get on the same page. This super fun and friendly Nova will fit right in wherever she goes when she arrives on transports December 5th in Snohomish. Nova is spayed, vaccinated and micro-chipped. Her adoption fee is $500. She can’t wait to give you kisses and tell you how happy she is for a new great life in the northwest. Please apply online at www.raincityrescue.com (choose adopt tab) or email Pam for questions at raincityrescue@gmail.com. You will truly love this loving and lovable husky mix babe who as deserving as they come of an active, awesome and adventurous new family!
