October's Story...
Meet October! She is a very affectionate black Lab mix around 5 years of age. She was not house trained when she was rescued while darting through traffic.. exhausted, panicked, & shaky, but it took her less than a week to catch on. October is very gentle and eager to please! She shares her foster home with two other dogs (one smaller than her, one larger), two cats & a potpelly pig - she is calm, gentle & affectionate with all of them! She would make an amazing new family member for just about anyone who wants to love and be loved in return. Unfortunately, October tested positive for heartworms. She will undergo treatment soon and will be adoptable after her recovery period has subsided.

If you're interested in adopting, please visit our website at www.c2cnd.org & click on "adoption process" to fill out an application! Adoption fee for pups up to 2 years of age is $250, 2+ years is $225, & giant breeds is $350 - this covers their age appropriate shots, microchip, deworming, heartworm test (if old enough to be tested & treatment if necessary), and spay/neuter.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

October, a Mooresville Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Mooresville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Mooresville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mooresville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mooresville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mooresville paves the way for another one to be saved.
