Obiwan here!! Yep, that's me a 10 year old tricolor male beagle, straight from the Star Wars era! I was rescued from the shelter by Arizona Beagle Rescue, because my family would not come and get me out of there. They knew I was there and decided to let me stay in that place. I was going to be euthanized because I started getting kennel cough. I guess now I will have the chance to find a family that will keep me with them for the rest of my years. Thank goodness for AZBR, they do help us older pups out all the time!!
My foster mom reports that I have been having fun with my foster sisters, and the cat and I are friends too! At the dog park I tend to go off by myself and just sniff around the ground doing my own thing. I've been around kids but don't really pay much attention to them. I love walks, but a mile is about my limit, but at least it will help get off some of my weight. I'm okay when left alone when you go to work during the day, and when you get home I tell you how much I missed you, but I won't jump on you. When you get home I relax at night and like to lay down by you on the floor or my dog bed. I rarely pester you for attention, but I really do love to be petted. Ilike to play with stuffed animals, and if you throw them I will run them down for you. A good game of tug of war is fun also. I don't shred my toys either!! I do like food, but I'm on a diet and losing weight. I even come when you call my name!! Now that's a rarity for a beagle!! I also know all about the doggy door. I may alert you if there's something I hear, but I don't bark too much. Overall I am a loving and low maintenance boy. Love, some attention, some exercise and food will make me your friend forever!!! I really am sweetheart and deserve a great family that will take care of me and love me!! I hope that's you!!
