S/F, 2-3 Years, SharPei/German Shepherd Mix, Approx. 55 lbs.
Why, hello there! I'm Melody, and I'm very aptly named because I'm one
of the most harmonious doggies ever. What does that mean? It means I
am loving, congenial, friendly, and happy. I want nothing more than to
be your best and most loving and loyal companion. I'm a very beautiful
girl, both inside and out. I also love children of all ages and am very
gentle with them. I came to MaxFund from another shelter with a very
puzzling condition involving the bone structure in my head which
directly affected the quality of my eyes. I've been to two specialists
at VRCC (a neurologist and an ophthamologist) and am on my way to
stability, if not recovery. You see, my condition is rare, but the
great MaxFund folks would love to talk to you about my care and
prognosis. I could very well live a near-normal life with a couple of
eye surgeries (funded by MaxFund) and daily inexpensive medication. I'm
up for foster care right now! Care to know more about me? Amy is more

Update!! My eye surgeries have been completed, and I am recovering so nicely! I’m ready to be adopted, and will soon be weaned off of all medications! (MaxFund will continue to provide all medications until I am clear.) Please ask to meet me! I’m a gentle and special gal! I’m still up for foster care as well, or foster-to-adopt!
