Lucy Chihuahua's Story...
Name: Lucy Chihuahua
Breed: Chihuahua/Corgi cross
Age: Young Adult
Gender: Female

Lucy is a 10 pound female Chihuahua/Corgi cross, about 1-2 years old, house trained and crate trained. She loves curling up in bed with the 16 year old at her foster home, being held and going for walks. Lucy is an unclaimed stray coming from down south so this cold will be a tough adjustment :) She's most comfortable with cats and dogs her size or close, big dogs make her nervous. She's been through a lot and wants a peaceful, predictable place to settle in.

Requirements: Adults or older kids preferred

You can email with questions and for a preadopt application. This dog has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated as age appropriate, tested for heartworm disease if age appropriate, and dewormed.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucy Chihuahua, a Minneapolis Chihuahua/Corgi dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Corgi for sale in Minneapolis, or seeking a Chihuahua/Corgi dog from a breeder in Minneapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Minneapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Minneapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Corgi breeders who help with Chihuahua/Corgi rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Minneapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
