Kolby's Story...
Kolby is a male Maltese mix, approximately 2 years in age. He has a nice, straight white coat of non-shedding hair. He arrived with a matted coat of hair so he is sporting a shorter haircut. He is a nice, manageable size weighing in at 10 1/2 lbs. full grown. Kolby is a people dog and enjoys being included in family activities. He is content to nap on a dog bed next to his foster family. He enjoys the company of other small dogs and likes to run and play in a yard with his dog friends. Kolby would do fine in a home with or without another dog. He has a mellow manner and comes quickly when called. He will play very gently with a soft toy, but is mostly interested in lots of pats, strokes on the head, and lap snuggling. He is responsive to voice commands and is very eager to please his people. He walks easily on leash and rides well in the car. Kolby is an easy keeper and will make a wonderful pet and companion. He is ready for his new forever home today!

You can meet KOLBY this SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 28th at the UNLEASHED BY PETCO STORE, 10625 Scripps Poway Parkway, San Diego, CA 92131, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kolby, a San Diego Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Maltese dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese breeders who help with Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
