Angus's Story...
Angus is a 2 year old Pitt Bull Pointer mix. He was found as a stray by one of our wonderful volunteers/fosters. We assume that Angus was dumped in Swope Park. He actually made his way over to his foster Mom's car parked on the side of the road. He was very scared and emaciated and knew he needed help, so he jumped right into her van. He is now gaining weight back in his foster home and is thriving. Foster Mom describes him as very sweet. He loves his people and likes to be right next to them when possible. Angus is potty trained and crate trained. He has been noted to really enjoy children and does very well with them. He is very food/treat and affection motivated. Angus LOVES toys and can keep himself occupied as long as he has toys to play with. He does well with female dogs or passive male dogs. He cannot go to a home with a cat as he tries to play too roughly with them.

Angus is up to date on age appropriate shots, is neutered, microchipped, and heartworm negative. His adoption fee is $175.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Angus, a Overland Park Pit Bull Terrier/Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/Pointer for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/Pointer dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/Pointer breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
