Pepper's Story...
I know you’re probably thinking to yourself, “This is the most precious pooch I have ever seen.” Well, you are precisely right. I am practically perfect. A fun breed mix, possibly the best in the world if you ask me. Plus, I’m wonderful with other dogs, cats, and children. I’m even crate trained already and housebroken too, but at 18 months old I’m still a bit of a pup—playful yet polite, personable and pliable! You bring the patience, I'll bring the potential! So if you are pondering the idea of providing a home to a pleasant pooch, then you must consider me, Pepper! 18 months old-38lbs. My adoption fee is $200 and includes neuter, microchip & registration, 1 month pet health insurance, reduced-cost training class, free vet exam, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pepper, a Portland Australian Cattle Dog/Pug dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog/Pug for sale in Portland, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog/Pug dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog/Pug breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog/Pug rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
