Maddox's Story...
Maddox is a one year old pit bull mix looking for his forever family. Maddox entered our program back in October after appearing to have been used for bait purposes or just being a stray in the wrong place at the wrong time -- he had a mangled leg that we weren't sure was going to be salvagable and his manners needed some work. Several months later and Maddox is 100% healthy and just a happy-go-lucky young boy! Maddox is in need of an immediate foster or adoptive home -- he has been in our program far too long...he's ready to go! Apply for Maddox today by visiting www.mylongwayhome.org/pitbulls/adopt

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maddox, a College Station Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in College Station, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in College Station.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in College Station already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a College Station breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in College Station paves the way for another one to be saved.
