For more information about Mr. Short or if you would like to meet him in his foster home, please call Joan at 651-705-6264.
Mr. Short had lived his twelve years of life with a kindly elderly man. When that man moved to a nursing home, Mr. Short couldn't go with him. He's now looking for his own retirement home (of sorts). Mr. Short would like to point out that he may be old himself but he has many more years of love left to give someone.
He is shy with strangers, but is relatively affectionate with his foster mom. When he’s petted, he “pets back.” He is not a lap cat (yet), but shows signs that he could learn to be a cuddler in time. Mr. Short loves to play with stuffed mice, the Cat Dancer, and plays hide-and-seek with his foster mom; he can be quite vocal. Mr. Short spends hours looking out the patio door or window at the wildlife outside, but he shows no interest in actually going out. He LOVES catnip-flavored Greenies for treats!
He is an intelligent, handsome cat who would be good company for a retired or semi-retired person in a quiet home, someone who has a regular schedule. He doesn’t seem to mind being an only cat, although he lived with a pug in his former home.
Mr. Short will do fine in a home by himself or with a dog or cat companion. For more information about Mr. Short, please call Joan at 651-705-6264.
Mr. Short's adoption fee is $120.
