Drako's Story...
Rescue transfer pending - Drako and his brother were surviving on the streets for at least a month before we finally caught them. Drako arrived very defensive and would growl when we got to close. That lasted all of about a day and it only took 3 days to turn him into a normal puppy who craves attention. His is about 10 months old and currently weights 45 pounds. He is still a bit timid but quickly turns very affectionate. He is dog/cat friendly and would do best with polite children since he is a bit fearful still,

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Drako, a Union Springs Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Union Springs, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Union Springs.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Union Springs already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Union Springs breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Union Springs paves the way for another one to be saved.
