My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Savannah! I am a sweet two year old girl rescued from a Tennessee shelter. EVERYONE who has met me has just fallen in love with me :-)

I am housetrained and have adjusted well at my foster home. My foster family worked with me on crate training, and I am happy to say that I will stay in my crate quietly now when no one is home.

I have learned to sit, lay down and am currently learning shake. I am not a picky eater and LOVE any treats. I get along with other dogs but really enjoy people the most. The people from the shelter also said I am good with cats, but we don't have them here at my foster home. I love attention and to snuggle and sleep by you. I am more of a couch potato kind of dog and don't do much playing or tug of war. I will stay by your side all day as long as you are petting me. I am also very good with the kids at my foster home.

I was heartworm positive when rescued, but I have gone through treatment for that and am good as new.

My transport from the shelter in Tennessee to my foster home in eastern NC was a very exciting adventure. I got to go for a sleepover with one of the shelter ladies, then I went to an airport where I got on an airplane...that's right - made me feel like a celebrity! I flew with some wonderful volunteers who flew me all of the way to my foster home! Then I met my Foster Mommy and went for a car ride to meet the rest of my foster family.
