LEHIGHTON MOM and 11 BABIES!'s Story...
UPDATE (1/2/16): We have 4 girls left (3 dark grey and 1 black and white)!

These 11 babies were born to a female rat named STITCH who someone bought at a pet store. They bought her not realizing pet stores often let rats of different genders stay together, thus insuring the females are likely pregnant.

They were born 11/29/2015.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

LEHIGHTON MOM and 11 BABIES!, a Philadelphia Rat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat for sale in Philadelphia, or seeking a Rat from a breeder in Philadelphia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Philadelphia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Philadelphia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat breeders who help with Rat rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Philadelphia paves the way for another one to be saved.
