Hutton's Story...
My name is Hutton and I'm a four year old Maltese blend weighing around 10 pounds. I have had some rough patches in my short life, but thanks to CARE I'm in a loving Foster home waiting for my forever home. I am a little shy with strangers, but I warm up pretty quickly. I have a wonderful personality, and am happy playing or just being a lap dog. I like car rides, and I'm potty trained! I get along with dogs, cats, and kids, although I would really love a home where it's just me. I would do great in a laid back household, hopefully one with someone that would be home a lot since I like company and belly rubs through out the day. If you're looking for a cute little friend, pick me! I'm ready to love you with all I have. My adoption fee is $125.

Please apply to adopt here: http://caretx.org/forms/ and CARE will be in touch with you ASAP!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hutton, a San Antonio Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese for sale in San Antonio, or seeking a Maltese dog from a breeder in San Antonio.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Antonio already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Antonio breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese breeders who help with Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Antonio paves the way for another one to be saved.
